Imaging Services

Dental radiology imaging services are available for viewing below the gum line and visualizing the internal structure of the tooth. 

Indications for dental radiology include:

fractured teeth, mobile teeth. missing teeth, resorptive lesions, stomatitis, masses, swellings, draining tracts, periodontal pocketsendodontics (root canal therapy or vital pulpotomy), orthodontics, discolored teeth, caries, pre and post extraction, including deciduous teeth, worn teeth, root exposure, and furcation lesions.

Case Studies where radiographs revealed more pathology than oral exam

 

Case 1

                                      

Enamel defect but no pulp exposure                   Radiographs show pathology                     Normal molar on the other side
