DR. SCOTT MACGEE
BS, DVM, DAVDC
Dr. MacGee has spoken on multiple occasions at national meetings including the Veterinary Dental Forum, Central Veterinary Conference, and American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine meeting. Dr. MacGee received his DVM from Kansas State University in 1997 and achieved board certification in dentistry in 2013. He has helped teach local and national continuing education classes to veterinarians. Dr. MacGee is a reviewer for the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry and in 2013 received the Debra Smith editor’s award for publishing the most outstanding manuscript. He also serves on the Training Support Committee, Journal of Veterinary Dentistry Management Committee, and the Review and Assessment Committee.
DR. Susan E. crowder

Dr. Susan Crowder is a board certified veterinary dentist. She has published numerous veterinary dental articles, participated in clinical research, and is a national speaker on veterinary dentistry presenting at the Annual Veterinary Dental Forum, the Academy of General Dentistry , Yankee Dental Congress, and at the national and state level veterinary associations. She serves on the Executive Board of the American Veterinary Dental Society. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2009 and has been a member since 2002. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas and Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Veterinary Dental Forum. Dr. Crowder enjoys mentoring senior veterinary students and teaching the rewards of good oral health for all furry patients. She shares her love of dentistry with her husband, Dr. Ric Crowder, who is a family dentist and owner of Crowder Family Dentistry.
Dr. Christopher Sauvé
Dr. Christopher Sauvé graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada in 2012. After several years in both emergency and general practice in Canada, he decided to pursue advanced training in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery to allow him to dedicate his career to the prevention and treatment of oral diseases in our pets. He is a member of the Foundation of Veterinary Dentistry and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Sauvé with his wife, daughter, and his faithful Portuguese Water Dog, Theo, have joined him on his journey to Kansas City.

Kayla graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. Kayla joined Companion Animal Dentistry in 2015. Prior to joining our team, Kayla worked in general practice and volunteered at the Southeast Kansas Humane Society. Kayla enjoys long weekends at the lake, fishing, and spending time outdoors with her Labrador, Drake.
Jill graduated in 2010 from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, CO. She fell in love with veterinary dentistry while working at a busy general practice hospital in Boulder, CO. She moved to the Kansas City area and joined our team in 2016. She enjoys caring for each patient as if they were her own pet. Outside of the dental clinic you can find her practicing yoga or hiking and camping with her husband and their dogs Walter, a Chihuahua, and Gilbert, a Boxer mix. She also has a very sweet kitty who prefers not to camp.
Julianna graduated from Maple Woods Community College in 2010 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Julianna previously worked in general practice before joining Companion Animal Dentistry in March 2017. In her spare time Julianna enjoys spending time with her husband Brandon and her three dogs, Taffie a schnoodle, Lexie a toy poodle and Cassie a blue heeler mix. She also has a chameleon named Junior & a guinea pig with crazy hair named Bubbles.
Emi graduated from Maple Woods Community College in 2015 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has spent the last 4 years working in specialty medicine, including emergency, surgery, and anesthesia. Her passion in veterinary medicine includes anesthesia and pain management. She is always looking for new ways to incorporate what she has learned into helping our patients. When not at work, you can find her with her movie critic husband at local theaters and film festivals. Emi shares her home with two dogs, Chewy and Leo Messi, as well as her rambunctious cat, Ripley.
