Endodontic Therapy

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the inside of the tooth.  The root canal consists of the blood supply, nerves, and lymph tissue.  When a tooth is fractured and bleeding, the pulp is exposed.  That tooth will eventually die of endodontic disease.  To prevent pain and infection a root canal is recommended to preserve the tooth's function and control further infection.

Key Benefits

  • Keep the tooth
  • Prevent spread of infection
  • Remove all diseased and infected tissue

Steps to Endodontic Therapy

Patient with Fractured Upper Canine, infected pulp is removed, canal is disinfected, filled with gutta percha, and restored with tooth colored material
